Some Things You Can Do Monday to Friday
But this Friday after a long exhausted week of
training's and work I have found some "me" time to understand the
changes in my life. Keep reading it is coming.
Yes it is Friday evening!! Time is 8:32 pm British
Summer Time, lovely weather outside 15 degrees sun is still shinning I am on my
way to home :)
Change 1:
If you are regular reader of my blog you must be
knowing this. There is no change in my tea habit, tea addiction just increased
with up to 8 a day. I think I start my day with a tea even before brushing,
then many teas at work and one more before sleep. I know sugar is bad for
health but I can't stop having tea so I have stopped adding sugar in tea now
and started adding ginger if @ home. Try thinking of a habit in you which needs
attention and find a solution. The only person who can change you is yourself.
Change 2:
I started working on my future, start day dreaming
and interestingly I am writing it down as well.
Yes future in the sense,
What you want to do next year / next month?
Where do you want to go for holidays?
What to learn? Where should I live / Work in 5 years’
time etc..
My future dreams is in a small paper in my bed side
this is first thing I see every day. Try identifying your dreams where ever you
are and start small steps to achieve it. Always think lazy mind is devils
workshop. If you are having time for gossip means you are losing the time you
spend on yourself.
Change 3:
My plan was to get something off my flat. Due to
sentimental values towards friends and others I keep many things in flat, which
includes some electronics that didn’t work for more than two years, books, old notes,
old clothes etc. I have found a recycle point nearby and cluttered many items.
Here is the thumb rule, if you got dresses in your wardrobe that you have not
used for in the last two years then I should say better give it to someone to
use it or give to charity. There is no point in keeping it there for another
some more years.
This is an action item for me and you.
- Organize your next week.
- Decide your grocery if you are the person who cooks and eats most of it.
- Treat yourself with surprises and little pampering. It can be an old movie or a visit to a place nearby you dreamed off.
- Position computer table / study table (See Image )
Finally be happy and contented for the reason you
are still alive. Don’t lose the hope in you and strengthen the
spirit living in you.
See you guys
As always do commend / email me
Take care have a nice weekend
Best Regards
Ann

Colours
It will come as no surprise to any young lady who has despaired over her husband’s choice of clothes truth is the sexes see colors differently. Research has shown that male and female brains process colors in slightly different ways.
Scientifically men struggle to distinguish subtle differences in shades of yellow, green and blue. The effect is very small but it might mean that choosing a shade of paint from the dozens on a color chart is a job best suited to a woman. The male sex hormone testosterone affects how it processes colors and makes sense of the information taken in by the eye.

The most productive ways to spend time on the Internet
This isn’t the first time I’ve recommended this language-teaching website (and app), and it certainly won’t be the last. Duolingo is a free version of Rosetta-Stone that delivers the same results: teaching you another language. Regular use of the site can have you speaking and writing Spanish, English, German, French, Portuguese and Italian in a matter of months depending on the diligence you put into it. Hopefully, even more languages will become available soon.
2. Khan Academy

They provide resources for learning pretty much every subject out there, including math, science, history and more. As you learn, the platform will even assess your progress and help you gauge what you’ve learned.
3. Justin Guitar
Guitar is one of the few instruments out there that’s actually pretty easy to learn if you’re a little older, making it one of the most accessible instruments. Still, learning how to play still takes some direction, at least for most people, so a guy named Justin decided he was going to help out. His website provides hundreds of free guitar lessons that range in different styles, depending on how you want to play. His schedule for learning is pretty easy to follow, and the site is a great stepping stone for people wanting to pick the instrument up.

Hundreds of millions of people have benefitted from the information that they can learn from these courses, starting a trend for other sites to offer free courses as well.

I don’t like to admit it, but my lack of a business degree tends to make me feel easily intimidated when a conversation starts taking a turn for the financial. To solve this, Investopedia was born to provide a news blog that makes it easy to digest and really understand the financial markets. There are tons of resources like tutorials and videos that will help you keep up with the ever-changing world of money, and the news stories will keep you coming back for more.

I love reading, but sometimes a visual demonstration just makes information come alive. Hence, Information is Beautiful is a platform that uses gorgeous visuals to impart data. For example, if you want to find out how much money individual organizations have lost from data breaches, you can view an action visual that shows bubbles that are labeled and sized accordingly, giving you an in-depth, but easy to digest overview of the data.
11. Spreeder
According to Spreeder, a lot of us have trouble reading quickly because we can only read as fast as our “inner voice” can. Spreeder’s solution is to teach you to read without an inner voice, boosting reading speed and comprehension immensely. The best part? It’s totally free.
12. Project Gutenberg

Unlike other sites that use flashcards, Anki allows you embed more than just text. You can use video, audio and images to help you start studying faster and smarter.
16. Lumosity
Using games to learn is something I’ve treasured since Kindergarten, making Lumosity a trusted resource for me and countless others. Using a daily schedule of games, Lumosity is literally designed to make you more clever. The best part is that the games are actually addicting and fun to look forward to!

18. TED
For years, people have been benefitting from TED talks that provide free insights from the world’s smartest people. TED provides the value and learning growth of a seminar, but without the exorbitant costs and travel expenses, by providing visitors with tons of free video lectures. The app is also great for catching up on the latest talks, and you can even download some on iTunes.
19. Pinfruit
Need to memorize a lengthy number? Pinfruit analyzes the number and provides all of the options you could want as a mnemonic device. That’s all there is to it, since (unfortunately) they only provide this for numbers and not words.

Habits
This year from Jan 1st 2014, my
life was changing for ever, I got into problems from one after another,
unexpectedly people in close circle became strangers / enemies and unfortunately to be true I
fell into traps of others.
But every experience made me
strong and taught me to be stand alone and be strong. I learned weeping or day
dreaming of the looses wont make any difference in life. Life has go on and I
have to move faster to catch my life and dreams.
First and for most lesson is
don't compare your life to others, even to close your friend / close relative /
or some one of same age group. You can't please every one / entertain every one as joker. You should stop trying to manage others situations
and devote more energy to improve your quality of life to grow more quickly. So once
you have made up your mind here is the action steps,
Action steps:-
1.Picture the desired end result (what ever it be)
2.What is your confidence level that you’ll actually achieve the goal?
3.If it is low- ask yourself why?
4.What steps were you unable to execute ?
5.How could you overcome those?
6.With those steps, are you now more confident?
Don’t tell yourself “I can do this” Better: “Can I do this? How?”
We people are creatures of habit. We are
what we repeatedly do. We become our habits. The meaning of our life is to find a reason why we are here and the purpose
of our life is to then give it away.
üStart exercising
üStart eating more healthily
üStart reading
üStop smoking (If you do so)
üStart walking / cycling instead of using
the car every time, all the time
üStart volunteering (my pics are coming )
üStop working always over time
üStart enjoying the moment and relaxing
more
üStart saving more
üStart spending less

Volunteering with Stop Hunger Now
Date :10 June 2014
280 HP Employees + 2 hours = Success!
All the volunteers were briefed about norms of the event. At 1:00 pm the employees began to queue up in front of the hall to confirm their registration before participating in the event.
We had many assembly lines and on each we had around 10-12 volunteers managing various tasks associated with the package of meals. The process of packaging the meal packs was systematic and performed in an orderly fashion. It began with the adding the vitamin packets to the custom made meal bag, followed by adding a cup of Dal, a scoop of onion power, a scoop of dried vegetables and a cup of Rice through the funnel. After which the entire bag was weighed to ensure the uniformity across meal packages with an ideal weight between 300-385 grams. Post which the meal bags were sealed using an electric sealing machine and arranged in a box before sealing them. Each Box contained 36 meal packages.
Volunteers managed various tasks during this event from participating on the assembly lines to packing the boxes, from supplying raw materials to assembly lines to storing the packed boxes.
Every assembly line had a designated funnel captain and a floor marshal, who were responsible to manage the funnel and co-ordinate the packing on the specific assembly line respectively.
The co-ordination, dedication, enthusiasm and passion displayed by the volunteers along with cheering & encouraging each other was excellent.
It reminded me of a restaurants Kitchen’s or an assembly line at a fast food center. We had people shouting, cheering and asking for raw materials and boxes to be pack. I recollect few lines like ” We need Rice at assembly line 1″ to which the response from the raw materials team was “1 box of rice to the Line 1, On the way”, it was funny and joyful.
This was a very memorable day for all the volunteers and they all departed with a smile on their face and the satisfaction of having contributed to the society in their hearts.
Yet again, HP as always created a platform for the employees to fulfil their social responsibility and serve the society on this historic day.
In the space
of 2 hours we managed to break two records, the previous HP record of 102,000
meals packed by our group in December 2012 and also a Stop Hunger Now
European Record!
The goal was to package 120,000 meals to go to Africa
and in the end with your dedication, enthusiasm and sheer hard work you packed
a fantastic 146,000 meals, a new record!
We where in the media :http://www.stophungernow.org/articles/hp-packaging-around-world-2014-05-30

Traditional Order of Grater Cermony
Pomp and ceremony: The Queen and Prince Philip process to St George's Chapel for the Most Noble Order of the Garter Ceremony in Windsor
- Founded in 1348 by Edward III, the Garter is the senior British order of chivalry awarded by the sovereign for outstanding public service and achievement.
- Originally it served the double purpose of bringing together the sovereign and 25 senior knights who were the country's military leaders as well as establishing a new fellowship in religious worship.
- The patron saint of the Order is St George.
- The Order's emblem is a blue ribbon or garter worn by men below the left knee and by women on the left arm.
- The Garter - also incorporated in the Royal Coat of Arms - bears the famous legend "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" ("Shame on him who thinks this evil").
